Help us make a difference and bring a smile to a hurting child’s face. There are many ways to support us – charity of the year, grant giving, cause related marketing or gift in kind. By focusing on the children’s needs you are helping us to make Sickle cell visible (#iamvisible) through your fundraising or providing strategic pro-bono support, or both. We will work with you to develop and shape a partnership that meets your CSR and employee engagement objectives.
Supporting our work presents immense benefits to your business. Some of these are listed below and cumulatively enables your business to reach new audiences by building your brand profile with us.
Your staff and volunteers get to know more about Sickle cell behind closed doors which will spur them to make a difference in children’s lives.
Your business will understand more about the condition by reaching out to be in a better place to help staff who may be living with the condition.
Help children and young people in Africa who do not have the NHS to fall back on by buying Medicine boxes and see the change it makes in children and young people’s lives.
Give existing channels an ethical boost such as payroll giving and see commercial benefits as a result of cause related marketing.
We’re really proud of our partners. Without their support and enthusiasm, we wouldn’t have achieved as much. Every partnership is unique, but the reason for support is the same – to bring smiles to sick and disabled children. Click on the button below to find out more about our partnership stories.
A partnership with us can involve a broad range of fundraising ideas, events and volunteering opportunities, making sure that the partnership is mutually successful. The list below isn’t exhaustive. If you have your own idea as to what a partnership could look like, we’d love to hear from you. To speak to us about a corporate partnership, drop us a line or call 020 727 727 77.
Nominate Sickle Cell and Young Stroke Survivors for your company’s Charity of the Year scheme and a dedicated account manager will work with you to create a fundraising and engagement plan. From launch to end of partnership celebration, we’ll include a range of fundraising events, ideas and materials to engage and motivate your employees.
We have an annual campaign called ‘Be Sickle wise’ which we hold in the UK in September and in Africa we run another Campaign called ‘There’s No Shame in Sickle cell’. You can choose which one to support or you can choose both. This could be the perfect opportunity for your company to be part of a bigger fundraising and awareness campaign, whilst providing a focus point for fundraising activity.
Engage your customers with a cause-related marketing campaign with a percentage of the price on selected products going to Sickle Cell and Young Stroke Survivors. Parents and families regularly engage with our social media channels and with our Facebook likes and Twitter and Instagram followers, we can easily promote our partnership to our supporters.
Our current list of opportunities can be found here and we often put out ad hoc requests for design support via our social media channels. If you are an individual who would like to offer time and/or skills to support us, please get in touch. For team challenges, we tend to save these for our corporate partners but we can look to organise a bespoke challenge for your company at a cost of £50 per person (minimum group charge of £500)
